Indiana Jones Competition
Thursday 1st May - Friday 16th May
The Boardwalk is asking local school children to design a poster advertising the new Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull movie. The winning child will receive 30 child and 4 adult tickets so they can take their whole class to see the film in the Odeon at The Boardwalk. All posters will be displayed by the cinema for the duration that the film is showing. Entries should be sent to:

Competition Rules:

1. All entries must be posted by Friday 16th May
2. Schools can enter as a class or as individual pupils with no limit on the number of entries that one school can submit
3. The competition is open to pupils who are 8 years old and over
4. Any material can be used in the design of the poster
5. The winning school will not receive more than 30 child and 4 adult tickets
6. The school will watch the film at The Odeon Cinema, The Boardwalk, Port Solent, Portsmouth, PO6 4TP
7. Transport to and from the cinema is the responsibility of the school
8. It is the winning school's responsibility to obtain parental consent for children to attend the screening
9. Tickets do not have a monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash
10. By entering the competition the school agrees to abide by the above rules

Frank Sinatra
Saturday 10th May - 6pm to 8pm
To commemorate 10 years since the death of Frank Sinatra, The Boardwalk is inviting you to come and 'swing' along to the sound of the UK's leading Sinatra tribute act. Taking the role of ol' blue eyes is Ian Gallagher, who has been thrilling audiences with his show in London's West End and throughout Europe. He'll be crooning such classics as New York New York, Strangers in the Night, I get a kick out of you, I've got you under my skin and of course My Way, and is a treat for young and old alike. It's certain to get your feet tapping and your fingers clicking - and it's completely free!

The Southampton Concert Wind Band
Sunday 18th May 12pm-3pm
A conventional brass band formed in 1975, with an aim of having fun whilst playing a wide variety of music, including classical, shows, popular, traditional and jazz.

Alan James 'n' all that Jazz
Saturday 24th May - 6pm-9pm
The band has established a reputation for entertaining, swinging 'Dixieland' music second to none.

Punch & Judy
Monday 26th May - 10am til 4pm
Punch and Judy are coming to visit on the May Bank Holiday Mondays performing five shows throughout the day. So head down and treat the family to a slice of good clean fun - for free!
