We know how long the school holidays can feel so we're helping to make keeping the kids happy that little bit easier....
Every Wednesday and Saturday this summer, come along to Port Solent for our festival of free family entertainment. Remember that our new playground is open 24/7 so there's always something to do down by the waterside, and we have FREE face painting every Wednesday throughout the school holidays! In fact, ALL of our summer events are FREE and so is our Car Park!
Saturday 24th July - 1100 - 1600 - Join our Crafty Party - this animal themed free "make and take" day is great fun and gives everyone something to take home. Wednesday 28th July -1100-1600 - Come and see a traditional Punch & Judy puppet show: our entertainer will start with some balloon modelling and then entertain the children with some great old fashioned entertainment. Saturday 31st July - 1100 - 1600 - Bob Jobbins and his Crafty Workshop are coming to Port Solent. It's a Make & Take art event where our crafty team will help to inspire the kids and keep them occupied whilst you relax.
Wednesday 4th August - 1100-1600 - Run to Port Solent and join the Circus! The Marjin Circus Workshop will be at Port Solent teaching your little clowns some tricks that'll keep them entertained all day. Saturday 7th August - 1100 - 1600 - David Crofts is our favourite Balloon Modeller and he's here all day making whatever you ask him to! Try and think of something really tricky....
Wednesday 11th August -1100-1600 - Today we've a real treat, Kidsrome Mobile Farm will be at Port Solent all day long, bringing with them a selection of animals, including a sheep, a pony, a donkey, Dexter Calves, pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs all in pens with staff to keep the animals and our visitors safe. Children can pet the animals and learn all about them from their owners. Saturday 14th August - 1100 - 1600 - Tim Bat is a little batty and ever so funny. He'll be clowning around and generally keeping everyone entertained with a mixture of trickery and clowning....
Wednesday 18th August - 1100-1600 - Bob Jobbins and his Crafty Workshop. Send the kids along to our make and take workshop - crafty Bob will help them to make something fun, perhaps a sailing boat or a starfish, and they get to take it home too. Saturday 21st August - 1100 - 1600 - David Crofts is back - the best balloon modeller in the whole wide world - honestly he is! Come and meet him and watch the magic.....
Wednesday 25th August - 1100-1600 - We've Animal Antics today and it's not going to please every mum, but the kids will love it! This mobile farm is full of creepy crawlies including lizards, snakes, large spiders and giant millipedes. The owners will be on site to ensure that all goes smoothly and allow the children to pet "some, not all" of the animals. Saturday 28th August - 1100 - 1600 - It's a Bank Holiday Weekend and Port Solent is expecting to be taken over by a gang of pirates! Come and watch some breathtaking displays of swashbuckling action - meet our salty old sea dogs and try your nerve against Captain Jack Sparrow.... Be prepared for an amazing treat! Wednesday 1st September - 1100-1600 - Today our storyteller will keep the children amused in our playground area with some lively and interactive stories. Exact timetable coming nearer the time. Saturday 4th September - 1100 - 1600 - Rumour has it that a gorilla is coming to Port Solent and he's captured a Pirate in his cage! A day of general silliness and fun for everyone. Did you know that throughout the school holidays kids eat free at Chiquitos! I know, it's a great offer. One children's meal from the children's menu per adult meal.
