Free Summer Food Festival at Port Solent

 Calling all fine food fans.....

 If you love fine, fresh and fabulous food, come and join us at Port solent as we host our first ever Open Kitchen Food Festival, between Friday 16th and Sunday 18th July.

 We are proud of our restaurants and bars and the quality food they produce, so we're inviting you to get up close and personal, and see how it's done! Over the weekend, a selection of Port Solent's finest chefs, award-winning local brewers and sommeliers are inviting guests to an exclusive behind the scenes master class...come backstage to learn how your favourite food is made and take away some tricks of the trade.

On Saturday 17th July, we are celebrating our local cuisine and paying homage to Hampshire's abundance of quality produce, as we proudly welcome 30 stalls from Hampshire Farmers' Markets to Port Solent for the first time.

 On Sunday 18th July, the community chef Robin Van Creveld, who is renowned for his sourcing of fresh, local ingredients, is taking centre-stage with a demonstration of some of his delicious, healthy dishes.

 Sarah Thornton, area manager for Chiquitos said: "This is so exciting, we've never before allowed anyone in our kitchens, we normally keep our culinary secrets well hidden."

The 30 Open Kitchen events vary from wine tasting to a lesson in traditional tiramisu, and there's even something for the kids.
