New playground PRESS RELEASE

June 2010

Port Solent has launched an amazing new playground!

It's a wonderful space for kids; bright and colourful it encourages the youngsters to run around and play! The new play area is being built behind The Watermark Bar and offers youngsters an enclosed safe area in which running and shouting is very much the order of the day.  Focusing on “natural play” the scheme has hills, tunnels and stepping stones to encourage children to scamper about and let off steam.  The scheme is using colour and texture to capture the imagination and encourage the children to explore the environment and find their own fun and it’s all based around the marina theme with a giant ships galleon as the centre piece of the park. Also incorporating traditional equipment such as swings and a sea-saw the playground will appeal to a variety of ages.  The tiny tots love the large sand pit whilst the older children go wild for the climbing wall which traverses a colourful mural along one wall.

The play park will be open during daylight hours all year round and is free!
